Events in Nairobi : Egypt and Middle East Expo 2014

Hi There,

Today I went to the Annual Egypt and middle East EXPO 2014 in KICC building.
The Expo started in December 13 and ends in December 27

when I read that the Expo will be held at KICC building I was expecting a high profile kind of exhibitions, businessmen,traders,tourism agencies and  that kind of boring exhibition, but apparently I was wrong, it turned to be a casual "cool"shopping Exhbition .

The Exhibition consists of booths that sell a wide range of items, from women accessories up to furniture.
 Egyptian traditional clothes, accessories and silver  jewelries, handcrafted furniture and interior decors, little Pharonic sculptures and many other eye catching dazzling stuff.

 

 There is also a lot of stands that are of Chinese and Indians who are selling "as seen on TV"  kind of stuff as kitchen gadgets and they are more enthusiast about selling their goods by showing the customers how their stuff works.

I didn't find other middle eastern countries  participating in the event despite what is claimed in the the title of the exhibition.

I enjoyed the loud Egyptian music that was played in the whole place although I wish there was Egyptian dishes and snacks,that would have added a pleasant touch to the exhibition and would have brought more visitors who would be very interested in trying the well-known tasty Egyptian cuisines.

Overall, it's refreshing to see these kinds of shopping expos in Nairobi, Looking forward for more international exhibitions and activities in our hospitable Kenya.
